Acoustics 08 Paris
One reason for selecting the dates of July 4-5th for the International Sonothrombolysis Conference is because Acoustics08-Paris (http://www.acoustics08-paris.org) is being held from June 29th - July 4th.
The Acoustics'08 Paris conference is being co-organized by the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), the European Acoustics Association (EAA) and the French Acoustical Society (SFA). Acoustics08 Paris is the 2nd ASA-EAA joint conference. It will gather together 6 events on the same spot: 155th meeting of the Acoustical Society of America, 5th forum acusticum of the EAA, 9e Congrès Français dAcoustique of the SFA. It also integrates the 7th EUROpean Conference on NOISE Control (euronoise) the 9th European Conference on Underwater Acoustics (ecua), and the 60th Anniversary of the SFA.
From Paris to Mannheim in 3 hours!
As many colleagues from throughout the world will be attending the Acoustics'08 Paris meeting, this will provide a unique opportunity for those interested in therapeutic ultrasound to also attend the Sonothrombolysis Conference in Mannheim. There is now a fast train that leaves every two hours and travels directly from the heart of the city in Paris (Paris Est) to Mannheim. And the trip only takes three hours! So it is easy to travel to Germany and then back to Paris for those with international plane trips.
