I can not comment on the vacuum because the dealer has not delivered this item. I ordered the vacuum on May 31, was told it would be delivered no later then June 22. It is now July 2nd and I am still waiting for delivery. My credit card was billed either in late May or early June.

It’s a piece of Sh**. The battery won’t charge right out of the box. I looked at their troubleshooting guide and followed it and still didn’t work. I left the battery charging all night and the battery went dead after 30 seconds of vacuuming. I will never buy a hoover product again.

It’s light, it’s easy to use, it’s easy to empty- but that’s where the good news ends. This seems to be a problem with battery operated units in general, but the suction on this thing, well, sucks.
Fine if you have virtually nothing to vacuum, but that’s not my house. I have crumbs and sand and so on tracked in everywhere by two darling children, and you have to move this unit slowly and repeatedly over soiled areas or they’ll remain dirty.
We have a corded vac that it virtually broken that does a better job.

Even as an occasional stick vacuum, to pay anything over $99.00 for something like this poorly made item is a crime – just wait 6 months down the road, you too can own something over-advertised, written about by company people as the “new great hope for vacuums” when it’s a copy-cat of Dyson, and others who are much better at building bagless vacs – Hoover bagless is a bad idea, a poorly made item that will last a few months and goodbye to your money…..
I tho’t this would be the “coming thing” in ION battery technology coupled with the long-standing Hoover reputation in the Hoover Linx Cordless Stick vac but after a few times working it, and I *know* vacuums and bagless technology too, this isn’t my only vacuum, but it’s a piece of over-priced junk poorly made, poorly designed that will eat your money but not clean after awhile, even if you can empty/wash the filter, clean the insides, and pull the junk out. I proudly own an old Hoover canister vacuum which I’m using until my new vacuum arrives, and I will NEVER buy Hoover again – they’re not keeping up with technology nor how to build things, but merely copying others now!
This seemed like the logical solution to a 2-floor home, it was lightweight, with an easy canister to empty, no problem with filter to wash and seemed to pick up like a real vacuum…..at first!
6 months later, I have to throw this expensive piece of junk OUT. At first I tho’t something was just stuck up the input channel as written in a few other reviews on this item….I pulled out all kinds of lint, cat-hair, and…..small sand particles from the rugs, nothing big at all! It stopped picking up things 2-3 months ago, slowly has been getting worse and worse, and the battery would go in a few min’s (not the 15-20 mins it used to). Now all it does is just blow all the dirt around the carpets and tile floors. It won’t suck up at all, even tho’ it’s empty, channel clear, it’s supposed to work but with the lowered suction, methinks there’s something wrong with the motor now.
SAVE YOUR MONEY! Don’t buy this vacuum at all! I lost $179.00 + tax on this stick vac and even for an aux. vacuum, it sucks but not your dirt, it sucks up your money….Hoover has no idea how to build like Dyson, Shark, all the rest….they were good with bagged vacuums and should go back to that technology and stop merchandising a badly built product that does NOT WORK! I’m not a company review writer like some I’ve seen here. Hoover? Schmoover…..good-bye!

Don’t waste your money. It doesn’t pick up anything other than lint. I’m quite upset that hubby picked this up for my bathroom which houses a cat. Kitty litter from kitty toes is always scattered all over the wood floor daily. We thought it would be easier than hefting up the big boy vacuum cleaner. Once you vacuum the slight amount of crumbs of litter, then pick up the vacuum, it spits it all over the place. Apparently the suction isn’t strong enough to pull it into the cup. Extreme amount of money spent for practically nothing. One good thing: I like the battery life, for what it is, and that it tells you when it’s getting low. In summary: For what this is capable of, use an appropriate dust mop.
